This week was pretty rough. It was the toughest week as far as teaching goes. Almost every single appointment fell through, be we were able to talk with Mary. She is super cool, and I believe that she will get baptized fairly soon. We brought along Elder Heaton with us and it was a great lesson. She is liking Joseph Smith more and more as she learns more about him! I just wish that she would have a greater desire to come to church and to really pray about the Book of Mormon. Elder Heaton is a really cool Senior Missionary, and he comes out with us quite often, and he is just awesome to talk with. Every time we go over to Mary's house, the Spirit is so strong and it turns out really good every time!

We were not able to meet with many of our other investigators, but this week we have more appointments and hopefully they will not all fall though.

President Mullen came to our ward this week, and I was super nervous. I was just glad that I was not the one giving a talk this week. Elder Herald gave a talk and it was really good. He has only been out for 6 weeks and he already gave a talk! I just gave my first talk on my mission 2 weeks ago. I think that it went pretty well, but I just need to get better at public speaking.

As far as transfers go, well, I'm still with Elder Spencer, and we are in the same area and in the same apartment. However, we LOST OUR CAR!, so we are on bikes - AGAIN!!! I was not expecting that one coming. I don't know why I have been on bike for so long. I guess that I need to learn a lesson and something good will come out of it.

Hope you all have a good week. Love you!

So, this week was a little slow. We were not able to teach as many people as we had planned on, but we still were able to visit some people. We found a couple of new people and they seem kinda solid, but we just met them on the street, but we have appointments with them this week, so we will be able to tell how much they want to learn when we meet with them again.

We went over to Zahid's house and he has been reading some anti-Mormon stuff online, and now he says that he can't agree with a lot of what we taught him, so we tried to set up a time to go over again, but he says that he doesn't really want to meet with us again. I hope that we will be able to teach him again!

Mary had also found some anti-Mormon stuff online and now she is very reluctant to meet with us too. She read some stuff that she didn't like and she cancelled our appointment and said that she will text us when she wants to meet again. I hope that she will let us in this week.

I hate all of the anti-Mormon publicity that goes on down here and how much it can destroy people's faith. I have never seen so much material against us. Some of the things that are said is absolutely ridiculous, like we can't even have salt or pepper! Crazy!

Well, that is about all that is going on work wise, but we have to go to Riverside tomorrow because there is a chip in our windshield, and also someone hit our car with a door and now there is a huge dent in the side now. So, hopefully all of that will get fixed.

Hope you all have a great week!

Love ya,

This week was pretty good. We met a lot of really cool people, and we were able to have some really good lessons too.

Brenda, Sarah, Carlos, and George all moved this week. I am not sure if they are still in the mission or not, but I really hope that they are! It was super sad to see them leave, because they were so cool, but they needed a bigger house to fit all of them in. They said that they never talked to anybody who would knock of their door, but for some reason, they loved us, and they said that we could come over any time. They also invited us to a BBQ but I don't think that we will be able to go. I think that they were going to get baptized, because they have not been baptized before, and they said that they really want to, and that they also want to start coming to church! They were reading the Book of Mormon, and they said that they really liked it. I cannot tell you how awesome these people were. I loved going over to their house and talking with them because they were like members already. I am going to miss them so much, but they said that after they move in, they would take us out to eat that is somewhere in the zone.

We also had Mary come to church and she watched some of General Conference with us at the Stake Center. She said that is was beautiful, but she is still having a hard time with Joseph Smith, and with being baptized again. I think that Conference helped out a lot because it talked a lot about baptism and why it is so important. She said that she wants to start coming to sacrament meeting also. I really hope that she feels the Spirit, and that she will want to join the church.

One of the talks at General Conference that I really liked was K. Brett Nattress's talk because he talked about the Book of Mormon a lot. I really liked how he portrayed the feeling he had when he knew he was a tough child to raise and that his mom had been promised that she would not lose her family if she read the Book of Mormon with them everyday. Elder Nattress realized that he was worth saving to his mother. I know that when we read the Book of Mormon as a family, that it helped out my days. I know that I probably didn't show it as much as I should have, but I am very grateful that we tried to do that as a family. It really means a lot to me now!

Guess what I did today??? I finally went FISHING!!!!!!! It was a lot of fun! I caught like 20 bluegill, some chubs, and 2 catfish that were about 20 inches long! It was so much fun! I miss it so much! Catfish are pretty fun to catch!

Anyway, that is about all that I can think of for this week.
Hope you all have a great week.

Love and miss you,
Elder Braunstadter
