This week has been very interesting. So, it started off while I was in the trio with Elder Moyers and Elder Spencer, but then on Tuesday, we got a call that said that I was going to be getting a new companion on Wednesday. It was Elder Dunn, and he went home 3 months ago because he tore his ACL, MCL, and his meniscus! He had surgery, and now he is back in the mission ready to go. He is super cool! We get along really well, and things are going pretty good. We are now in a 4 man apartment. It is very interesting, because we have 4 people with one fridge, and its a little cramped. We are eating in 4-man dinners now too, so we have a huge dinner every night since there is so many of us.

Elder Dunn and I are on the east side of the freeway, and Elder Moyers and Elder Spencer are on the west side of the freeway, so we split the area basically in half. We got a 2016 Toyota Corolla, and it is pretty nice, but we have a LOT of dirt roads that we go on, so we might try to get a truck or something. We do not have a lot of people that we are teaching right now, but we have a lot of appointments this week, so hopefully things get better. We are basically starting a new area. We are still waiting for supplies, and hopefully we can get all of them soon.

That is about it as far as our new area, but church was really cool! Since we had the opportunity to baptize 2 people last week, they had to be confirmed, and Sister Goff asked me if I could do it for her, so I did, and it was super cool! It was my first time confirming, and it was AWESOME!

So that is what went down last week. It seemed like it took forever, but we got a lot done.

Love you lots,
Elder Braunstadter

Last week I didn't get a chance to e-mail because we went to the Temple on our P-day! It was super cool! I love going to the Temple! It was super packed and there were not enough seats for everyone so they brought in extra chairs and some of us had to sit on the Sister's side. It was kinda weird, but it was cool to see that many people in the Temple! I was going to do some work for my Grandfather on my dad's side, but my mom said that there is a mistake in his family history line, so I was able to do work for another member's family in our ward. We had a great time and I can't wait to go again. Next time I'll get to do some work for my own family with some names my mom has reserved for us.

This week was pretty great! We had 2 baptisms yesterday, which was awesome! The Spirit was super strong and everyone had a great experience I think.

So Terry, one of the people that was baptized, had a super awesome experience last week! We were sitting in a lesson with him and all of the sudden he said that he felt like he was having a heart attack or something. I kind of started to freak out a little bit, but then he said that it was a super happy and joyful feeling. That is when I realized that it was the Spirit testifying to him that what we were saying was true. He said that it went all the way from his head down to his toes. He started crying and then he said that he has not cried in over 40 years! He just could not stop crying and the Spirit was super amazing at this point! We sat there for about 5 minutes in silence. He was super shocked, and said that earlier he believed that what we were teaching him was true, but now he has absolutely no doubt in his mind that this is the true church. He gave us all hugs and he just thanked us for helping him find the truth. It was one of the best experiences that I have every had in my life! I love moments like this! He has been telling every single person that he meets that he is going to get baptized, even complete strangers, and so many people tried to talk him out of it, but he said that he knew without a doubt that it was what he needed to do. His brother flew down from Washington state, to baptize Terry. It was awesome to see him baptize his brother! He is super awesome! I love to see the way that the Gospel helps turn around the lives of people!

Sister Goff is another lady that got baptized yesterday, and she is super cool also! I have not had the chance to get to know her, but she is black and is like around 85! It was super cool to see her get baptized! I think that they are both super cool people to be around, and I love sharing the Gospel with them!

That is about all that I have to say about the area because we don't have a lot of other people to teach right now. We have a senior couple serving in our ward right now, and it is super cool because they give us super cool people to teach all the time. Last week, I went with them to a family and they seem super interested. We just have to get the rest of them in the lessons with us. There are 7 people in the family and I hope that they will want to be baptized!

I really want to go fishing in Lake Perris some day! Maybe one of these P-day's I'll actually get to go!

Until next week...

Love always,

Elder Braunstadter
This is Terry's (second to the left in white) baptism - his brother flew down from Washington to baptize him! Sister Goff also got baptized. It was a great day!

This week was pretty darn good! I am enjoying my new companions. We all get along really good! I am glad that I have companions that like the same things that I do!

So we met with a guy named Terry, and he is super cool! He is an older man, but he is SO cool. He jokes around with us a lot, and he is one of the funniest guys that I have ever met! We talked about the Plan of Salvation, so that was fun, and he really likes talking with us. He has a super strong desire to learn more about the Gospel. He asks a lot of really good questions, and he tries super hard to understand. Sometimes we have to go over the same thing for about 15-20 minutes, but he will eventually understand it. He really likes us a lot, and he feeds us every time we go over there. He is making us breakfast tomorrow - so that will be cool!!! He also makes some really good hot sauce! He is scheduled to be baptized on the 21st of this month, and he is super excited about it! His brother is coming down from Washington to baptize him.

We were going to meet with Mary, but she was not at home whenever we tried to stop by. She is a super close friend with Lili! Hopefully we can get Lili to come to a lesson with us.

That is about all of the people that I know so far, and I will meet new people this week, and tell ya about them next week.

The ward we're in is super cool also. I don't know that many people yet, but I'll get to know them soon. It is pretty small for how big the area is, but I think that we can turn it around soon!

Elder Manson told me about Lydia and Leo. Leo dropped us because his pastor told him that we are a cult, so that is sad, but Lydia came to church and she is still super solid!!! She is almost done with 1Nephi so that is super cool!

Well, that is about it for the week. I'll keep you posted next week!

Love you all,

Elder Braunstadter

So, we got transfer calls last Saturday, but I have been super busy, so I have not been able to e-mail anybody. I am now in Perris, CA, and I am in a Nissan Frontier! It is kinda like a Tacoma, so that is super nice! (In the 6 months that I've been riding my bike, I've put on over 1000 miles on it!) Elder Manson asked President Mullen for a car, and he gave him one!!! I was super mad, but I was happy for him though. It was sad to leave my first ward, but I was so happy to be in a truck! And that's not even the best part! My new companion is Elder Moyers, and he used to live in Elko!!! It is super cool! And he is training, so we are in a trio for this transfer. I think that the reason that they did that, is because the ward will get split, and so I will probably go the the other side next transfer with a new missionary. I think that I will train next transfer because there was 30 something missionaries that came in this week, and there will be 20 something next transfer! I am pretty excited for this transfer. I think that we are gonna have a blast!

So that is about all that is going on in my life right now. I don't know any of our new investigators, because I have not met them yet! Our new missionary is Elder Spencer, and his from Utah. He's super cool. He likes to hunt and fish, and all sorts of fun stuff. I am happy that I am with these 2 for this transfer. We moved into our new apartment, and it was super gross because the old missionaries never cleaned it, but it is cool. It is one of the biggest ones, because it is actually a 4 man apartment. I have my own bathroom and closet and everything!!! I think that this will be one of the best transfers! I will email you next week about or investigators, when I actually meet them!

Love always,
Elder Braunstadter
